These drawings are an exploration of human anatomy. Focusing on light and shadow, I am able to explore body language with a pencil. Some of these are experiments where I sketch the figure and then create a monotype surface, which I then use to print over the drawing. The result of the print varies due to the press roller's pressure and the amount of ink applied.
Campaign for non-profit organization OUT Miami. Message: Everyone can be a philanthropist, not just people who donate money. I wrote inspirational quotes which begin within the person and end outside of them, as a way to metaphorically represent the inner potential of everyday people, and their external effect on the world around them.
Explorations of type as art and design.
Most of the work is made through Printmaking, while some work is digital.

This was a project to create an app for a smartphone. Because I am a creative, I wanted to make an app that would connect others like me. I created the concept and design of this platform.
This installation was part of my Solo Show "Earthbound Musings."
I started by writing a personal statement, then used a laser cutting program to cut out the statement from vinyl. I collected the letters and individually peeled each one of them (carefully to not rip them) and pasted them on the wall to physically write the statement on the wall. I then took a scraper and removed most of the letters, and left two words to create a new statement. "Creative Truth" represents the act itself, there is truth in the act of creating. Truth also hints as to what the previous statement was about. I collected the peeled backing of the vinyl and I also kept the surface with which I created the entire statement.
All three pieces contain the statement in different forms.
I use mark-making as a way to document my sensory experiences; a meditation. I work on paper and directly on the wall, and I do not limit myself to conventional materials. My wall art pieces are impermanent, they are created for a period of time, yet taken down at the end of an exhibit.
I am influenced by Buddhist philosophies of non-attachment to material objects, to meditation through conscious action, to the inevitable change of our daily lives, and to the cave paintings of prehistoric times. Their transience is reminiscent of our actual lives, where we see people and things come and go, live and die, grow and change; nothing remains the same.
